2003-06-04 I was alerted to the following piece of hilarity by one Mister Jessie. (I begged him to let me give him a sleek pseudonym, such as Skeletor or Complexion, but he refused.) At the end of a campy disaster movie called The Swarm, there appears this disclaimer: THE AFRICAN KILLER BEE PORTRAYED IN THIS FILM BEARS ABSOLUTELY NO RELATIONSHIP TO THE INDUSTRIOUS, HARD-WORKING AMERICAN HONEY BEE TO WHICH WE ARE INDEBTED FOR POLLINATING VITAL CROPS THAT FEED OUR NATION. Good, because I was about to take some umbrage.
